Help! We are all trapped in our lives!

The Condor has flown…

Thanks to everyone who turned up at the Condor Car Park launch last weekend, it was a huge turnout and blew our minds. Perth is obviously yearning for some colourful urban art action and we’re glad we could help showcase some of this. I think we had a few thousand punters through, nine million photos taken, a couple of paramedics helping, served a bucketload of booze and generally had a raging party.

Props must go to all the artists that gave their time over the past year and to everyone who helped out on the night. You know who you are. Special hugs go to Rashas, SJK, John Macliver who turned up the heat in the final weeks and were imperitive to it all coming together. Big ups to Philly Blunt and Jerrem for the live entertainment. Lastly, a jinky cheers to the developers of Condor for being champs and looking the other way when we broke probably all of WA’s OHS laws.

We’ve had a lot of emails asking if the car park is still open for viewing, unfortunately no… it was a one night only show. You’ll have to make friends with a resident of the building. We are however planning on launching a photo book in the coming months, stay tuned for updates. Right now we’re enjoying having our weekends back and resting our trigger fingers.

Condor Tower Car Park Launch

carpark_thumb1art_exhibition_badgeOn Saturday July 25th, we will unveil what we deem to be the largest permanent street art exhibition in the southern hemisphere. Housed at the base of the newly built Condor Tower, the 5 level car park has seen more than 60 artists add their artwork to the space, mostly locals with a handful from over east and a couple of internationals.

Over a year ago, the Design/Construction Manager of ‘Condor’ approached us and communicated his dislike for grey walls, especially in a car park environment. We took it upon ourselves to transform the entire space into an enormous cavern of bold, bizarre and colourful artwork.

Stormie Mills, Reka, Creepy, Daek, DrewFunk, Grumpster, Pat Doherty, Rifs, Trevor6025, Kid Zoom, Timothy Rollin, Hurben, Showbiz, Shime, Jodee Knowles, THNK, RegID, Griv, Yo-Yo are just a small selection of the artists who have donated their time to the project.

So please, support your local artists and don’t miss out on this rare opportunity!
