I’m aussie but in denial

ololo on Stateline

ABC’s Stateline recently interviewed us about the Condor Tower Car Park project and the upcoming launch. Was good to see how expansive the space looks on film. Maybe some of you artists can see your head on there?

griv visits Malmo

Sonic Youth Sensational Fix RecordsWent day tripping to Sweden on the ferry from Denmark… fun times. Walked (and paddle boated) around Malmo and stumbled upon Sonic Youth etc: Sensational Fix, an exhibition by / about the band and their influence on alternative culture over the last 28 years. Was really impressive. Everything from their old guitars and tour posters to video / sound installations. Saw the little knitted toy from the Dirty cover! Kim Gordon had a bunch of her stuff in it. I can’t believe she’s 56.

We weren’t meant to take photos but I had to get this one, who’d have thought a room 3 inches deep in vinyl would be so soft to walk on?

Check it out if you’re in the area.

Around the streets I found a secluded colourful wall with one of the best pieces I have seen in a while. Definitely my kinda place.

Shensing & Hurben on RTR FM

We were interviewed yesterday on RTR FM’s Morning Magazine about the upcoming Condor Tower Car Park launch.

griv visits London

London Underground ololo StationWasn’t in town long and wanted to do some paste ups but got way too drunk at Shunt Lounge and ended up distributing the posters throughout the venue. Anyone visiting London should definitely check out Shunt. It has a really cool vibe and is filled with all things weird and wonderful, with different performance art / film / music each night. Definitely a highlight of my week. Thanks to znort and co for helping me out!

Hurben went up to Karratha recently and painted the ticketing booth at the Walkington Theatre.

Condor Tower Car Park Launch

carpark_thumb1art_exhibition_badgeOn Saturday July 25th, we will unveil what we deem to be the largest permanent street art exhibition in the southern hemisphere. Housed at the base of the newly built Condor Tower, the 5 level car park has seen more than 60 artists add their artwork to the space, mostly locals with a handful from over east and a couple of internationals.

Over a year ago, the Design/Construction Manager of ‘Condor’ approached us and communicated his dislike for grey walls, especially in a car park environment. We took it upon ourselves to transform the entire space into an enormous cavern of bold, bizarre and colourful artwork.

Stormie Mills, Reka, Creepy, Daek, DrewFunk, Grumpster, Pat Doherty, Rifs, Trevor6025, Kid Zoom, Timothy Rollin, Hurben, Showbiz, Shime, Jodee Knowles, THNK, RegID, Griv, Yo-Yo are just a small selection of the artists who have donated their time to the project.

So please, support your local artists and don’t miss out on this rare opportunity!
